Lacell Parnell


15 years. 14 Parishes. 5 states. Actor Lacell Parnell is a force in Jamaican roots theater. Lacell is the first male actor to play a female character to such mammoth extents. He has re-invented Girlie once more in Girlie Year of Maternity, a three-year epic saga of Girlie's rowdy pregnancy guaranteed to have audiences in tears! Due to Girlie's epic success, Parnell is designing a sitcom with more Girlie, more characters and more of his masterful comedy for 2007. Now that he has mastered the character of Girlie, Lacell is following his original calling and launching his career as an R&B singer/songwriter.

Parnell's theater credits include Market Mampie, Rammy, Hot A Claps, Sit Dung Pon It, the original Story Come To Bump, a remake of Story Come To Bump, Lickie Lickie Matey and Krosses. In addition to Girlie, Parnell has developed "Pastor Baby", a fire-tongued pastor dressed in clothes from the 70s that delivers life-changing messages in a comedic voice.
