The eyes say it all
Our eyes are by far the most expressive facial feature. In addition to letting the world know when we're happy, sad or indifferent, our eyes display our state of health. Desirable eyes are moist and shiny with clear irises and surrounded by smooth, even-toned skin. Most of us have wrinkles, discoloration on our eyes, uneven complexions around our eyes, the list goes on.
Streets of New York went on the hunt for sultry summer evening eyes. We found some excellent techniques in the heart of Brooklyn with super make-up artist Ava Griffiths of InuHadiya. For this issue, Ava picked a subject who does not wear make-up and wanted to conceal some serious dark under circles.
Help Me Ava!
The mission: use basic products and uber simple techniques to create a fast look that masks problem areas.
Goals:
- even out complexion
- bring out natural hues
- make her feel like a naturally beautiful woman
Don'ts:
- pluck/tweeze/thread eyebrows
- apply too much make-up
- create a face she can't reapply
Dos:
- contour eyebrows
- accentuate eye-lids to draw attention away from under eye circles
- use a palette that will work with almost any outfit
